September 21, 2010 was the first time our school celebrated National World Peace Day (or Whirled Peace Day). Students wrote wishes for peace and dreams for the future on paper that they then crafted into pinwheels. We made banners and posters for the building and ‘planted’ our pinwheels by the road for drivers to see as they passed by.
