We have got to up our game when it comes to wishing and hoping and praying for snow days, friends. And just in case we get one this week, please make sure you’ve got some good books checked out.  Y’all know we’re going to see Ghost (by Jason Reynolds) this week.  You’ll want to borrow that book or any of the others in hist Track Series.

We recently got a copy of The Price of Duty (by Todd Strasser) which tries to answer this question: If young people are going to be enticed into the military with financial bonuses and promises of advancement and heroism, shouldn’t they be made thoroughly aware of the potential dangers?  What do you think?

Finally, let me suggest for the 9000th time that you read Scythe (by Neal Shusterman).  I can’t love it enough and am still tempted to begin training as a Scythe so that I, too, can choose who dies (in order to keep the size of the population under control – of course!). <insert evil laugh here>
